Hanover, PA Family Photo Session at Long Arm Reservoir - Family Photographer Hanover, Pennsylvania

I had the pleasure of photographing this amazing family of 3: mom, dad and this adorable 2 years old girl. This photoshoot took place at Long Arm Reservoir, in Hanover, PA, at golden hour.
I used my Canon 50mm f1.4 lens the entire session, and aperture on f2.8 most time.
My assistant and I started the session by posing them sitting by the lake since the light was still a little harsh at that moment, so we found a special plant that helped shade them while they were sitting.
After that, we moved to an amazing backdrop with the lake itself. The sun was still harsh, so my assistant helped me by holding the reflector and shading them for me, so I could photograph this beautiful backdrop!
After these shots, we moved to another part of the reservoir where the lighting was beautiful. The little girl was a real model, and these turned out to be some of my favorite pictures ever taken. I used my aperture at f1.8 for these pictures.
Her dress matched so well with the backlighting that it's almost as if her dress was made for this moment. It complemented the picture so well. I also wanted to give her something to do, so I told her to hold these white flowers, which made the pictures even more perfect!
This family was amazing to work with, and I hope to come back to this place more times for other photoshoots.
